Nothing remarkable about any of these experiments--the judges (and the audience) don't understand electricity. The first demonstration with the light bulb is done with low voltage direct current. The next ones involving heating hot dog and egg are also done with low voltage DC, with higher amperage plus salt...salty hot dog and salt water conduct electricity much better than human skin. As an example, you can grab both terminals on a 12V car battery and feel nothing. Try it. Lick your fingers and grab both battery terminals. Nothing. Connect a good conductor, say, a jumper cable, between terminals and you'll get quite a show with melty-explody wires and sparks (make sure to wear safety goggles).
